Summer Fashion Illustration

Hey ladies and gents, ya’ll know what today is, Flash Back Friday Fashion Illustration! This is my summer collection; I noticed I tend to do dresses a lot so for this collection I decided to incorporate separates. For the inspiration our instructor told us to choose a current designer as inspiration I can't remember who I chose as inspiration. I just remember the designers collection was young and fun filled with color and that's what inspired my summer collection. For this collection I wanted to explore different fabrics and textures. The fabrics I chose were chiffon, jacquard, silk dupioni, and corduroy. The back story: My girl is young early 20’s, she isn’t afraid of loud colors or print. You can call her a modern clueless if you will. She loves bows and is a super girlie girl. Design number one, we will call her the “Blue Gal”, she is wearing a flouncy tube top with straps that tie in the back creating an exaggerated bow. The skirt is a cross between pencil skirt/bubbl

Spring Fashion Illustration

Hey fashionistas, here is the second collection for this mini-series Flash Back Friday Fashion Illustrations. This collection is for spring, I was inspired by graphic fairies. The fabrics consisted of lightweight chiffons to give off a romantic vibe. The color pallet is purples, green, pink, and blue. They are all dresses, because I felt that spring is the perfect time for dresses. The backstory of my spring collection: my girl is a fairy who lives in a beautiful garden. Since the garden is full of greens and colorful flowers, her dresses are also green and colorful giving her the ability to blend in whenever she feels like she’s in danger. Since she flies from place to place her dresses have to be lightweight.   The first dress is purple chiffon, with the skirt having under layers of blue and pink. The straps are rope like twisting towards the back shoulders. I styled her with what I thought was fairy like hair, and the make-up was dramatic with swirls. The accessories were very

Happy Friday Fashionistas, as most of you may know I've mentioned that I do illustrations; these illustrations are mostly fashion illustrations. Being that it is Friday I will start posting my past Illustrations here on my blog for Flash Back Friday from here out now. I took fashion illustration back in 2009 and created cohesive mini collections based on several themes; in the end I had a portfolio full of illustrations. Today I've decided they are worth sharing :-) hope you enjoy this mini-series every Friday. Ok so lets' get started. This first illustration is a resort collection. The collection had to include a bathing suit and lightweight materials to be carried in a luggage. The backstory of this collection: my girl would be going on a cruise and enjoying the waves in her bathing suit. She had a small luggage where she packed her lightweight outfits and had no room for an iron lol. Because the weather would be a bit warm the fabrics would consist of thin knit, chif
